1. Introduction
Checkout is an Android darts scoring app published by an independent developer (hereafter "we" or "the publisher"). This privacy policy describes what data is collected, how it is used, and what rights you have over it.

2. Data stored locally on your device
Checkout saves your game data exclusively on your device, in a local database (Room/SQLite). This data is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. It includes:
- The players and bots you create (name, bot difficulty level)
- Your game history (X01, Cricket) and statistics
- Leg, turn, and dart-throw details
- Your display preference (light, dark, or automatic theme)
None of this data ever leaves your device. The "Clear all data" option in Settings permanently deletes all of this information.
3. Feedback sent via Supabase
If you use the "Send feedback" feature from Settings, the text of your message is sent to our database hosted by Supabase, a third-party data hosting service. This only happens when you explicitly write and submit a comment — no data is ever sent automatically or in the background.
The following is sent along with your message, for diagnostic purposes only:
- The feedback text
- The app version
- Your device's Android version
- Your device model
- Your device's language
- The active theme (light/dark/auto)
This submission is anonymous: no name, email, advertising identifier, or account is associated with your message. We cannot identify you from this information unless you choose to include it yourself in the text of your comment.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The "Support" screen lets you optionally watch a rewarded video ad (to unlock a color theme or as a way to support development) served by Google AdMob. No ad is ever shown outside of this screen, and none is shown automatically: you must explicitly tap "Watch an ad" to trigger one.
To serve and measure these ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may process an advertising identifier and technical data about your device (device model, OS version, coarse location derived from IP, ad interaction data). On first launch, a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform, "UMP") is shown where applicable under GDPR, letting you choose whether to allow personalized advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services for details.
5. Purchases (Google Play Billing)
The "Support" screen also offers optional one-time donations and a monthly subscription, processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Checkout never sees or stores your payment details (card number, billing address, etc.) — these are handled directly by Google Play under its own privacy notice. The app only receives confirmation of whether a purchase or subscription is active, which is used locally to unlock the corresponding features.
6. Data we do not collect
Checkout does not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any personally identifying information
- Your GPS location
- Photos or media files
- Web browsing data
- Your payment details (handled entirely by Google Play, see section 5)
The app has no user account and requires no sign-up.
7. Android permissions used
- INTERNET — needed to send feedback (section 3), serve ads (section 4), and process purchases (section 5). No core gameplay feature depends on network access.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to check network availability before requesting an ad.
No other system permission is requested.
8. Communication security
All of the app's network communication (feedback, ads, purchases) is carried out exclusively over HTTPS, to Supabase's infrastructure and to Google's.
9. Sharing data with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party ourselves. Three third-party services process data on our behalf, each under its own privacy policy:
- The content of feedback you choose to send, hosted by Supabase (section 3) — see Supabase's privacy policy.
- Advertising data processed by Google AdMob when you choose to watch a rewarded ad (section 4) — see Google's privacy policy.
- Payment data processed by Google Play Billing when you make a purchase (section 5) — see Google Play's privacy notice.
10. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have rights of access, rectification, and erasure regarding feedback you have sent us. Since these messages are anonymous, we can only locate them if you provide details that help identify them (approximate submission date, message content). To exercise these rights, contact us at mfodevhub@gmail.com. Regarding advertising consent collected via Google's consent form (section 4), and regarding purchases processed by Google Play (section 5), please refer to Google's own privacy controls, since we do not control that data ourselves.
11. Data retention
Local data (players, games, statistics, preferences) is kept on your device until you manually delete it (via Settings → Clear all data) or uninstall the app. Submitted feedback is kept until manually deleted by the publisher.
12. Children
Checkout is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
13. Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. In case of a substantial change, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
